Technology is here now, but there are still many technological gaps. For example, most of us can’t drive on the Internet, only in person.
And that’s just one example of many. For example, the internet is pretty slow. It takes a very long time to process a video, a photo, and even a webpage. That’s why we’re still talking about things like uploading videos and pictures in the past. And it’s even slower than that. When I went to a conference a few years ago, a few of the tech people were talking about downloading and uploading video on a much faster internet that would help with that.
So the question is, will the internet be fast enough in a couple of years to really make video streaming a viable alternative? One of the problems with the Internet is that it is really slow. We’ve already had the ability to get videos online way before that and for a long time. But the tech is only just starting to catch up. There’s a lot of work to be done before video streaming makes itself a more viable option.
But it is not just about video streaming. There is a lot more work going on in the area of “content delivery networks”, or CDNs. CDNs are the internet service providers that provide content to the web. If the content is not distributed via the internet, the CDN can only distribute it to a limited extent. In this case, the internet is a small part of a CDN, so a huge portion of the content has to be distributed via other means.
This is where we come in: to our own video streaming service. We want to deliver our content to viewers on the internet, but we need to make sure that the internet knows how to handle that content. We have two different approaches to handle the content. We want to make sure that viewers can enjoy our content without being asked to buy a subscription to an expensive web server or an expensive storage space on a hard drive.
The other approach is to make sure that we can deliver the content to viewers without putting any content on a “cloud.” This means we don’t have to deal with third parties hosting the data for us. The other approach is to make sure that we can deliver the content to viewers while at the same time keeping our costs low. Which approach is best? Well, we’ve got a lot of data on that.
Thats probably the best way to answer that question, but as a side note, one of the reasons why I’m so opposed to web advertising is that it can easily lead to abuse. I know because I’m also a big fan of third party sites like YouTube or Vimeo where you can use your own ad dollars to get your videos shown to people who actually want to watch them. The problem is that many people will do almost anything to get their video seen.
The other problem is I have seen a lot of ads which are completely transparently manipulated to look like theyre real and arent. It makes me nervous. I dont want to be the one to get caught up in the middle because of the blatant manipulation.
It’s definitely something Google and YouTube are working on. For instance, YouTube created a new search algorithm that will allow the video you link to to appear higher on the results page. This is a great way to get your videos seen by people who will actually want to watch them.
Not only will Google and YouTube improve their search algorithms to make it easier for advertisers to reach their viewers, we believe that this is another great way to make sure the ads on YouTube are as effective as possible.
