The compressor in Advanced Compressor Technology is a higher pressure type that can compress up to 600 lbs per inch. It has four chambers and each of these chambers has a motor. The motor is basically a pump that uses a shaft and a pinion to spin up and down to compress the air.
It’s kind of cool, sort of like a vacuum cleaner, but the motor is actually in a chamber inside the compressor. As the air is compressed it is pushed from the outside to the inside of the chamber where it is pushed to the outside and finally to the inside of the compressor’s outlet. So it’s basically doing a reverse-warp to compress the air.
this is the second chamber, the first one is for the motor that pumps the air in and out, the second one is for the compression. the third one is for the air pump, and the last one is for the compressor.
